With our new MicroSIM's, connecting to a local network most countries will be quick and without issue. If 'flight mode' is activated on the device, all you need to do is deactivate 'flight mode' and the handset will start searching for the local Network.
If your device still cannot get a connection and sees "No Service", you will need to use the SIM applications menu to select a network with the following steps on how to use the SIM Applications menu to select a network:

iPad
If you return to New Zealand and cannot get service on XT, you will need to use the SIM applications menu to select a network.
If you have problems with your MicroSIM, you will need to call the Help Desk on 0800 Good2Go (0800 466 3246) to understand how our MicroSIM changes have affected you and to see if there are any issues with your MicroSIM.
If your Telecom mobile is lost or stolen while you're overseas, contact the International Roaming Helpdesk on +64 3 371 0866 straight away to block your phone.
If you don't do this immediately, you will be responsible for all calls made on the phone until it’s blocked.
Because you'll be roaming on different networks, we can't guarantee the quality and availability of the network or coverage while you’re overseas.
